What We’re Looking For
- Video details: Release year, production company, filmers, editors
- Skater information: Full parts, shared parts, cameos
- Soundtrack data: Song titles, artists, timestamps
- Historical context: Behind-the-scenes info, filming locations
Quality Standards
We strive for accuracy. When submitting information, please:
- Double-check facts before submitting
- Provide sources when possible (interviews, credits, etc.)
- Be specific - include timestamps for soundtrack info
- Use proper capitalization and spelling
What We Archive
SkateVideoSite focuses on skateboarding videos - full-length productions, team videos, independent releases, and historically significant video parts.
Videos We Accept
- Full-length skateboard videos - Team videos, independent productions, company releases
- Video parts - Individual sections from larger videos
- Classic/historical content - Older videos that deserve preservation
- Independent productions - Self-released videos from filmers and skaters
What We Don’t Archive
- Raw footage or unedited clips
- Instagram edits or social media compilations
- Non-skateboarding content
- Content without proper credits
Submission Requirements
Required Information
When suggesting a video for the archive, please include:
- Video Title - The official name of the video
- Release Year - When the video was first released
- Watch or source link - A page where reviewers can watch or verify the video
- Notes - Anything reviewers should know about the submission
Helpful Additional Info
- Full skater list with part types (full part, shared, etc.)
- Filmer and editor credits
- Soundtrack information
- Links to watch (YouTube, Vimeo, etc.)
- Cover art or promotional images
How to Submit
For Corrections to Existing Entries
Use the “Submit Correction” button found on any video or person page. This is the fastest way to fix errors or add missing information.
For New Video Submissions
When submissions are available to your account, use the form linked at the top of this page. You can save a draft, come back to it later, and track its progress from your account.
What Happens After You Submit
- Pending review - Your submission enters the review queue. You can withdraw it if you need to make edits.
- Needs changes - A reviewer may send it back with a question or correction. Update it and resubmit when ready.
- Accepted for curation - The video meets our guidelines. A curator creates and finishes the archive entry, but it is not public yet.
- Published - The finished video entry is live on SkateVideoSite.
A submission may also be rejected, including when the video is already in the archive. You can reply in the submission conversation if you have more context. Reviewers can reopen a rejected submission when follow-up resolves the issue.
We email you when a reviewer requests changes, accepts or rejects a submission, reopens it, sends a message, or publishes the finished entry.
