Harrison Woolgar has released "AREU4R3AL", the first in a new series of short skate videos following his 2023 full-length Brighton scene project "HEADZ". The new 8.5-minute edit features returning skaters like Albie Edmonds, Michael Tarry, Vlad Kalynin, and Cal Dawson, and was filmed mostly in Brighton, with clips from London, Norwich, and the South Coast. Woolgar prioritizes music and atmosphere, sourcing obscure tracks and valuing natural soundscapes. He plans to release several short edits annually and potentially another full-length in the future. The project highlights Brighton’s DIY skate spots and Woolgar’s deep ties to the local scene.
Gripped by the unshakeable fear that somewhere out there some grotty corner of the south east coastline might not have felt the sweet caress of Lady Urethane, Harrison Woolgar has finished the first follow up to his incredible full length scene video 'HEADZ' after a few months chucking his VX at all manner of heavy Sussex street business. You can watch the resulting video, 'AREU4R3AL', above. Deep crust cuts await and, by the sounds of it, it won't be long before we're treated to more - read an interview with Harrison by Jono Coote which discusses soundtracks, angry onlookers, the Brighton scene and his plans for a series of short videos here: http://vaguemag.com/articles/harrison...
