Chadcherch “Chad” Michael Muska was born on May 20, 1977 in Lorain, Ohio. Muska began skateboarding in 1988 after moving to Phoenix, Arizona, where he started skating with neighborhood kids. As a teenager he moved between several cities including Las Vegas and later Mission Beach in San Diego, California to pursue skateboarding and art. During this time he spent periods living on the beach and couch surfing while trying to build a career in skateboarding.
Muska first gained professional sponsorship with Maple Skateboards and appeared in the 1994 skate video "Rites of Passage". He later rode for Toy Machine and filmed for the 1996 video "Welcome to Hell". After leaving the team he joined Shorty's, where he helped develop the company’s skateboard deck division and appeared in the 1998 video "Fulfill the Dream".
Muska released signature footwear with éS Footwear and later became the first professional skater for C1RCA. In 2006 he co founded Supra Footwear and designed the Skytop shoe line. Outside skateboarding he has produced music under the name Muskabeatz and opened the Factory413 store in Los Angeles. Muska was inducted into the Skateboarding Hall of Fame in 2020.
