RIP: September 24, 2020
Keith Hufnagel was a professional skateboarder and entrepreneur whose influence helped define modern street skating. Born in New York City, he grew up skating Manhattan and the legendary Brooklyn Banks. As a teenager he spent hours skating with peers, filming tricks, and sharing footage in hopes of getting noticed. His persistence paid off when he began riding for early sponsors and eventually moved to California to dedicate himself fully to skateboarding.
Known for his smooth, quick footed style, Keith earned long term respect and rode for Real Skateboards. His video parts and magazine coverage cemented his reputation as one of the most influential street skaters of his generation.
In 2002 he opened HUF in San Francisco. What began as a small shop quickly grew into a global brand that blended skateboarding, design, and street culture. Beyond skating, Keith’s vision and dedication inspired a worldwide community, leaving a lasting legacy in both skateboarding and streetwear before his passing in 2020.
