Pat Channita is a Laotian-American professional skateboarder born in Seattle, Washington. He began skating in 1986 and turned professional in 1995 after entering his first pro contest, Slam City Jam. In 1997, he received his first pro model. Channita initially rode for Plan B before joining Powell and later the BRIGADE team. A street-focused skater who occasionally rides mini ramps, he has had nearly 10 pro models and currently has three. In 1999, Channita was ranked number one in World Cup Skateboarding’s overall street rankings, competing in 11 of 12 contests and placing in the top ten six times. He won first place at the Vans Triple Crown in Milwaukee and the X-Trials in Oceanside and earned second-place finishes at the X-Games and Mystic Cup.
